NGTC Foundation Scholarships

Some scholarships are administered through a partnership between North Georgia Technical College and the North Georgia Technical College Foundation. Applications for these scholarships are available online, in the Foundation Office, and in the Financial Aid Office.

For information, visit The Foundation’s website at: https://www.northgatech.edu/pages/foundation/scholarship_Application.aspx

Other Scholarship Sources

The Web is a great way to look for scholarships. Good places to begin are on sites such as the U.S. Department of Education's website, FastWebWiredscholar.com and CollegeAnswer.

FRAUD ALERT* Avoid sites that charge you to search for scholarships.

Be sure to consider local sources of scholarships. Community-based awards through organizations such as the Kiwanis Club, YMCA and even where your parents are employed may offer scholarships that apply to your situation.  They may be smaller, but they're also easier to win.

Still Tempted?

For a reliability report on a scholarship company, consumers should call the Better Business Bureau where the firm is located. For a copy of the BBB's booklet, "Tips on College Financial Aid," send a self-addressed, business-sized envelope and $2 for postage and handling to Council of Better Business Bureaus, Dept. 023, Washington, DC 20042-0023.
